After majoring in Applied Art in my college days, I moved on to being a teacher, first in Spain where I taught English and then in South Dakota where I ended up teaching English as a Learned Language to every grade level and to adult students. A few years of teaching Spanish were interspersed as well. That, and the demands of raising two sons, seemed to keep me more than busy for several decades! Thus, not a lot of time for artistic endeavors until now, suddenly in my retirement years when I have found new inspiration and motivation to pursue my creative urges.
You'll find my pieces are mainly acrylic gel prints and watercolors. I am clearly quite enthralled with color and forms, be they abstract or inspired by the natural world. I believe the Giclee printing process will provide the highest quality reproduction of my originals possible. Hope you will enjoy them! Please note that all room photos show the prints as close to their actual size as possible. Another note: I am adding some commentary of my process and what I like or think works about each piece (currently this is in progress) in hopes of forming some dialogue. I am not doing this as a way to praise myself, but to elicit reponses from my visitors. Please put a comment in my messages and let me know what you think!
I'm having fun producing a lot of prints and experimenting with techniques. I would love for people to comment on any pieces they like (or hate!). Share my website if you can! I'm just trying to get my work out there and see who comes to amble through my "studio". I'm constantly adding new pieces, so come back to visit periodically.
